About Us

A little about Lunastar Ragdolls-

My name is Laura and I am from North Lincolnshire where my partner Lee and I share our home and our life with our 6 furry feline friends, 4 of which are Ragdolls, 1 Birman and 1 Himalayan x.

I decided to have a go at breeding Ragdoll cats about 3 years ago.

I have always had a love of cats and one of my main interests is in feline genetics, I also enjoy learning all about the history of cat breeds.

~How it all started~

We fell in love with the Ragdoll breed in January 2006 when we first visited Rhoda and Harry Parkin at Wimseycats Ragdolls in Scarborough and we brought home our blue colourpointed Ragdoll, Wimseycats Blue Exquisite 'Luna' whose name inspired our prefix 'Lunastar'.

~Our Aims~

We aim to breed good sized, healthy and happy Ragdoll kittens. We believe the Ragdoll is here today because of it's laid-back temperament and so of course along with the Ragdolls sweet look these are the things we are aiming to preserve. Our kittens are handled everyday from birth to ensure super friendly, loveable babies!

At the moment we are concentrating on breeding only the traditional colours of seal and blue and we breed kittens in all 3 patterns- colourpointed, mitted and bi-coloured. We have 3 Ragdoll females and 1 Ragdoll male.

Our cats and kittens are part of the family and live indoors with us with access to their purpose built enclosed herb garden during the day.

Our prefix 'Lunastar' is held with the GCCF who we register our kittens with. I am currently a member of the following cat and Ragdoll breed clubs-

Yorkshire County cat club

Progressive Ragdoll breed cat club

The British Ragdoll cat club

Traditionalist Ragdoll cat society

We hope you enjoy reading about our cats!

~Thank you~ Laura & Lee
